We recently completed a rebrand/relaunch with edX, the leading digital education platform. It’s a community driven by the very best, most transformative digital education offerings. We saw this challenge not just as modernizing the brand after 10 years, but also even more significantly, building some excitement, a movement people would want to be part of. Taking digital education away from a less-than means to an end and toward the game changer the research revealed the market craved. Our work included brand DNA, logo, internal/external tagline development, and message and value proposition work. We also helped lead the launch strategy and developed all relevant messaging across site and social, and weighed in on company values. As a true partner, we are routinely there for our friends at edX, from giving advice around a PR firm selection to connecting and advising junior team members.

SPERRY

Sperry brought us in to become less adventure and more fashion. We jumped right in on writing needs and built strong relationships with the in-house ECD and every member of the team. With a short ramp to holiday, big goals, and limited budget, the ECD called on us to lead holiday concepting with the team. We delivered “Boatload of Joy,” a simple, genuine expression of the joy of giving Sperry. We leaned on product and studio shots plus in-house illustration to be disruptive + on budget. It exceeded all expectations to become the benchmark for holiday success. Since then, we’ve frequently taken the creative lead at big conceptual moments.


BIG SISTER BOSTON

Big Sister Boston was closing in on 70 years as an esteemed mentoring organization, yet was still often confused with Big Brother Big Sister, and also faced concerns about whether an all girls’ organization continues to be needed and relevant. We started with an evolved brand DNA that baked in a wide range of stakeholder perspectives. We then engaged in our hIQ process to get to a single North Star: Little wins big. On this foundation we embarked on our “a sister changes everything” campaign. It started with a survey that proved the continuing value of girls-only organizations. We engaged an artist to depict sisterhood in a way that embraces BIPOC and rolled it out in time for the anniversary, starting with donated print ads.
